Recording a sentence lags for a moment
Sometimes when recording, it will lag for a moment, and thus cause the audio recording to cut off too early, before the speaker is done finishing the sentence. I just have to keep re-recording until it doens't lag and gets it right

this is just my assumption and please correct me if i'm wrong:
i assume the code calculates how long the substitle lasts (let's say 3.2 seconds) and then records while the video playback is on for that duration. However, the problem is if the playback lags, the record will not be in sync with the duration of the sentence being spoken.
(the lag is heaviest on long videos, like a youtube video that's 1.5hrs long)

Same. I’m really having this problem on YouTube and didn’t have it on Netflix or Viki. Makes bulk card creation bad. Usually need to be near in time to the card you want to create in the video. Sometimes that still doesn’t work, but making the same card twice in a row usually means a viable 2nd card.

This has been a problem with Migaku for a very long time. Check here

It was never fixed because the developers could not replicate it! The solution that I resorted to is to disable recording while watching the content and enable it just when I want to save a card. It is an ugly solution I know 😦

I’ve been disabling recording except when making a card the entire time because of this problem. But this problem is when making bulk cards, or even making a single card from the browser.

the audio being out of sync when the recording is on i think is a separate (possibly related issue). I've mentioned to the forums that this happens when using bluetooth earbuds (like airpods) on chrome.
what i'm referring to is more like a random lag (audio and video still being in sync) but they both stop for like a second or so, and only during recording a sentence
