Does the new Migaku extension track/sync study progress made in Anki? Can I use the FSRS Algorithm?
Hey all,
I’ve been googling around and can’t find any answers to a few questions I’ve got about Migaku.
1.) If I create Anki cards using the new (non legacy) browser extension, is my study progress synced with my Migaku known words? None of the (sparse) documentation I can find mentions this at all.
1a.) How exactly are known/in progress words tracked? Are they maintained in a database by Migaku or are they derived from my local Anki data?
2.) If Anki study progress is tracked, do I need to do anything in particular to sync it back to the Migaku web component? When I close Anki, some kind of process seems to occur but I’m not sure if that is the Migaku sync process or what.
3.) If Anki study progress is tracked, do I need to use the recommended Migaku SRS algorithm settings for progress to be tracked properly? Do I need to use the simplified Good/Bad answer system and the various other settings for ease factor etc?
4.) If I do not need to use the Migaku recommended settings to properly track progress, can I use the new FSRS algorithm?
Thanks for any help you can give me on any of these questions!

1) This feature does exist in the legacy extension, but has not yet been implemented in the new extension (but will).
2) The system in the new extension will probably function similar to how it does in the legacy extension, which means that if you want to update your learning words from Anki, you need to re-sync it every once in a while. With our SRS Migaku Memory it is done automatically, but that is not possible with Anki, so it has to be repeated manually.
3) No, you can use whatever settings you like.
4) Not to familiar with the difference, but in general, as long as you have our addon installed and sync, how exactly you study in Anki, has no bearing on the data when you import it. The extension just scans your cards for the words and updates the database in the cloud accordingly
