Not just me, definition won't go into card creator
Hi, so when I click on this, the words doesn't go to the card. How I can I fix it, please help. I have been using for weeks and today all of the sudden it happens.

I am having the exact same issue. Please fix this because it is essential for card creation. I realise the team is working hard on the new extension but many of us still use legacy because there are many features that the new extension still does not have, and I personally make extensive use of those. 🙏🏿 @Migaku Legacy Extension Support

Hey everyone, looks like we've got a regression on our hands here from an update we pushed to the Legacy extension yesterday. This is now my number 1 priority, we will get this fixed/released ASAP.
FYI this has been fixed; we are doing some local testing and then submitting the hotfix to the Chrome Store. Stay tuned!

Could be a disparity in the roll out of the extension auto-update
Chrome downloads/upgrades extensions in the background according to opaque logic
So it doesn't necessarily happen immediately

Slight correction... for me definitions work just fine at card creation, but I can't send definitions to expand or replace the existing ones

Do you know any monolingual dictionaries that work with Migaku? I've downloaded a few, but when I install them in Migaku, the results after looking up words are all "unknown", even though the same dictionaries work fine when I install them in Yomichan. It's really confusing.

For those still experiencing the issue (like me): I've been able to temporarily get by using the "Add definitions automatically feature" and just deleting the definitions I don't actually want on the card. Not perfect but has been working well for me!

yeah that's how I'm working all the time... the issue is that I'm trying to add/correct definitions for target words that were misparsed or missed totally
I'm copy/pasting as a crutch until the fix is out

Do we have to do something to receive the update or will the extension be updated automatically? and just to have an idea, when do you think the update will be approved by Google?

Extensions auto-update, and pretty soon-ish after release. Although how soon is a little opaque, and probably dependent on things like internet connection
and just to have an idea, when do you think the update will be approved by Google?All extension releases (both Legacy and the new extension) are unfortunately at the mercy of the Chrome Store review process. Sometimes reviews/approvals are instant, but that's rare. Other times it's a matter of hours, or days, and then some other times it's a few days. This particular review period is unusually long But unfortunately there doesn't seem to be too much of a pattern here, it feels a bit random. I suspect they have some mix of automated and manual review, but like I said, the review process itself is a bit opaque 🥲

Even when Chrome drops the hammer, Legacy will still work on browsers like Brave
So it's not the be-all-end-all for Legacy lovers just yet

Nothing special to it, you just install it like you normally would 🙂
(e.g. from the same Chrome Store link)
Chrome extensions are broadly compatible with Brave browser (and other Chromium browers too). Though there are some quirks
