Manually set “Learning” status
When using the legacy version of the extension, I liked to manually set words with learning status so that I could capture the fact that they weren’t completely unknown and I had seen them before, but I didn’t remember them always. I don’t make flashcards for every single word so I found it helpful to do this.
It appears that in the latest version of the extension, I’m unable to manually set to learning status, and I can only do this if I create a flash card and study it at least once. I would typically set the learning status by hitting the L key. Am I missing some setting or is this no longer an option? I suppose I could use the T key and set Tracking on to accomplish this, but it isn’t as convenient as the L key just from an ergo standpoint of how close it is with one hand to the K and I keys for known and ignore.

I think your best bet is to use the tracking status. You can also use the hotkey

Learning status is now for cards that you are actively studying in Migaku. Is there a reason

I am watching a show, creating cards. If I see a word I don't know I can create a card around it. That's great. But, if I come across that same word again in a different subtitle (if the card has not popped up on the migaku flashcards yet) I might not remember that I just created it and create a second card around it. It would be great if it was same as before, meaning, the word would automatically show as "Learning" because a card was created with it, and also it would pase highlighted in orange, so I would know that a card was created for that word already.
"Tracking" words is not automatic, has to be intentional. I still do it, but sometimes I might fortet to track the words that I just created the card for, and it might get messy (because of what I just described)
Also, tracking words keeps the words as "unknown" still. And that's a problem when I want to create a card that, for example, includes a word trat's on "tracking" status, and another word that's on "unknown" status. Because migaku will still try to find the meaning of the words that's on "tracking" status even though I usually don't want that
So I would love to have that feature of automatically marking words that have a card created already.
Or to at least have it as an option available to turn off and on
It might sound like I am being a pain in the ass hahah, but I was used to the previous workflow. And now, comming back and not having that "learning" thing just messes me up a bit
It is what it is, but I don't really like using the tracking thing as a workaround.

So I would love to have that feature of automatically marking words that have a card created already.this is already a feature, it's just that it isn't working correctly at the moment. We have to make changes to the database first, which should be happening in the near future. @Juan Pablo Peña

Hey, me too. I just subscribed. Migaku seems to be the perfect all in one solution for me. The only things missing is this and an ereader. I came from Linq and LR which was super convenient and fast to change the tag. I'm still not sure if I'll use the SRS feature in migaku, or continue using Anki. We'll see. I'm so looking forward to this returning too.

Have the database changes happened already? If they haven't, can you please include that in the patch notes for whatever release that changes goes out with?
