Migaku showing simplified Chinese even though set to Traditional Chinese

Hey! 👋 I'm new to Chinese, so I might have gotten something wrong but the characters here look very different from the ones we learn at school. My understanding is, this is simplified Chinese (look specifically at 'guo'). What am I missing to see everything in traditional Chinese? 🙂

This is because the first screenshot you show is for the dictionaries and what character set the cards needs to be auto-generated. If the original video shows simplified chinese subtitles you need to activate the option to convert them to traditional. This is done on the toolbar, I don't remember the icon, but look for the conversion option.

@SamuelD Does it currently work for you? 🙂 I can change it to traditional but it doesn't change the current tab. If I reload, it doesn't persist and switched back to don't convert.

Normal sub or early access? @HulK Because @SamuelD is early access. We were wondering if that makes a difference. Is it fixed there already? Also, which browser / OS? I'm on Chrome (latest) on Windows. ^ Trying to find out what could be the reason.

Thanks for the info. I have some ideas about what's causing this. Checking this rn Hey @!x.com/dominicfrei, I've found the root cause of the issue. This is a sneaky bug that only affects users who recently installed Mandarin or Cantonese, which is why @SamuelD and @HulK weren't able to replicate it. A fix will be included in the next release. For now, there's a way to fix this manually, and it involves running a script in the Console. Here's how to do it: - Focus on the App Window and open the Console by pressing F12 (it looks like you already know how to do that) - Paste this script and press Enter:

Nice. I guess you're opening the wrong Console. Please open the console of the App Window (the one in the attached image) and try again

My bad too. The "App Window" is the term we use internally to refer to the Migaku window, but not every one calls it that. I should've been more specific Glad it's working for you now. Cheers!

All good, should have been obvious that you're talking about the web app window of the extension we're talking about. 😄 I'm playing PoE2 on the side, so I didn't pay as much attention as I will now that I can study again. 😉
