Turn off automatic card export to anki
I noticed in video tutorials that when users click the "create card" button in the card creator of the browser extension, anki first populates all the fields in anki's card creation window, after which users would then manually press add.
I would also like to have this behavior, since I want to be able to edit additional fields manually. However, when I press "create card", the card is automatically added to anki without giving me the option to change anything. Is there any way to disable this?

Anki 24.6.3.

Not sure if this is the issue, just a guess: You might have to hit the orange button on the right (Send to Card Creator)

@Floris which button are you using. Orange is for manual creatino as froodmood said, and purple lightning is for instant/automatic card creation.

@froodmood @HulK Sorry I should have clarified. I'm using the two buttons like you indicated in the screen shot. First I press "Send to Card Creator (E)", and then "create card". Here I would expect anki's card creator window to pop up, but instead it is just directly added to my deck, not giving me any options to add specific fields unique to my custom anki note type.

I see! In that case I don’t know how to do that. I‘ve been using a variation of the standard migaku note type

As far as I remember, Migaku has always created the card without opening the Anki card creator specifically. Do you have a link to one of the vids you saw this in?
