How to deal with long text and part of text not clickable

Hello, how do you guys deal with long text? for example I am reading this https://www.aozora.gr.jp/cards/001541/files/52212_46230.html and since it's long and on a single page the extension visibly lags (I have a powerful pc), so what I am doing for now is copying a chunk of the text and pasting it into the migaku app clipboard but I don't really like doing it. Also, on the linked book, if I click the bolded text (the chapter titles and the subchapters, I attached a photo for clarity) the dictionary doesn't open,am I doing something wrong? thank you
