Is it safe to update Anki and update collection to support v3 scheduler?
I've been using an old version of anki for the longest time (2.1.49) and I've been too scared to update it out of fear that It's gonna stop working.
I recently downloaded a newer version of anki on my laptop and it's giving me the message "your collection needs to be upgraded to use the v3 scheduler"
The only addon i'm using is the migaku addon.
Is this safe to do? I'm scared my anki is gonna explode and change all my settings and stuff.

I know a lot of people are using but im just trying to be cautious, the only reason I ask is because on new versions of anki when i go to review my cards, at the bottom where it says pass/fail and it shows me how long in the future it will be until i see that card again, it shows me something different than my computer running the old version of anki.
for example my pc would say 5.7months if i pass it, but my phone or mac will say 5.8m
and sometimes its my pc would say 4days if i pass it, but my phone or mac will say 5days

I'm noticing two new fields in the deck options, do you have any recommended settings for these or should I leave as-is?

the only thing i can think of is changing the new/review order to "show after reviews" but i really have no idea what those other settings are LOL
Pretty sure that's always been a thing and it's personal preference. Most do new after reviews
