"The available Japanese subtitles don't match the audio"

I just switched over from legacy migaku to the modern one, and every single video I open has this issue, even the comprehensible Japanese video that is recommended to the user in the migaku extension. Oh you're on v1.23.4 but latest version is 1.25.0 so maybe try updating to latest version? Are you a standard or EA user? i see you have both tags

What version of the extension are you running? - Find the puzzle piece icon in the top-right → Manage extensions → find Migaku and the version is the number next to the extension name - Or go to Migaku extension settings and scroll all the way down 2. Does this issue happen in Chrome? Chrome is the only officially supported browser and others can experience some bugs 3. What OS are you using? Windows / Mac / Linux / Other 4. How often does this occur? Occasionally? All of the time? 5. Does this issue occur on specific pages or videos? For example, does it affect Netflix but not YouTube? Can you share a URL/timestamp of an affected website or video? 6. Can you replicate this issue even if you temporarily disable all other extensions? - Puzzle piece icon → Manage extensions → Turn off slider in bottom-right corner - Alternatively, you can create a new Chrome profile by clicking on your profile icon → Add Chrome Profile → install Migaku again

Happens with both Migaku 1.23.4 and Early Access 1.25.0-earlyaccess.2 Chrome 136.0.7103.93 Windows Started happening today. It occurs on all YouTube videos with Japanese subtitles, but only when logged into YouTube. Other websites work fine. Also occurs without other extension.

I have the same issue today :c ehh, the issue goes away for the same video when I switch youtube accounts. I'm using the beta migaku extension btw. Could it be some feature that youtube is A/B testing which is breaking something maybe?

I'm getting the same problem, only just started about a day or two ago, I've been using Migaku for around 6 months now and this is the first issue I've had. This is the error message

it seems to work when signed out of my account though found a fix when you look at the top bar that opens when you find a video there's a little wand on the right side, click that and it will "generate subtitles" once completed they will appear on the video.

You mean in the video? It's only on words they want to highlight where captions are added its not a direct translation or constant. Plus being able to copy live text and sentences into anki is a life saver. The youtube subtitle generation is worse than Migaku's as well. ^

i have started having this bug in the last day or 2 this is helpful for videos that already don't have manually created subtitles on them, and while the generated subtitles are decent, they're inaccurate there are many videos i watch specifically because they have subtitles provided, and in that case it doesn't help as it still won't load the original subtitles

i'm not sure if it helps but, for some reason this bug only happens when i use my main YouTube account, but when i switch to a different YouTube account it works normally i tried matching the youtube settings ( language ui, language settings, location, account name ) of the account that has the bug to the account that doesn't, but that didn't seem to help

Its happening the same for me in mandarin videos, even the recommended migaku ones I just tested something, one video on my normal account on youtube, didnt work. But on incognito, not signed it in youtube worked.

When loading an incognito chrome browser which is not logged in I get these errors in the console. This seems to repeat for every line of the subtitles. The first attached image shows an example of two errors which match up with two distinct lines of subtitles. There are some other errors at the top which are shown in the second attached image.

It's looking more and more likely Youtube changed something. If you use asbplayer to load youtube subs, it wont work unless you go to incognito. Which is the same for the Migaku extension. Something i notice, it might help you guys idk.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking as well. If this is related to a feature being rolled out to users in waves, I guess we just have to wait until someone on the team gets the update. Hopefully soon since more and more are starting to get this issue with youtube.

Also getting this error. Doesn't work in incog, tons of errors in console for Error: getEnhancedToken. Only other extension I have on is UBlock Origin, but even with it disabled I still get this error. I cleared all cache data too
