Can Migaku Flashcards Embed and Play YouTube Videos Directly?
I’m wondering if Migaku flashcards support embedding YouTube videos (with timestamps) so they play directly inside the app.
In Anki Web/Desktop you can drop in an <iframe> or HTML snippet pointing to a YouTube link and it works fine—just curious if the same is possible (or planned) for Migaku. Thanks!

Possible no, not sure if it’s planned. I assume maybe but not anytime soon @HulK

I wonder how the playtime until the end of the video will be prevented, since the card is just about one word/sentence. Imagine a 12 hour video you mined from and the embedded video timestamp is from the very first minutes for a 1 second sentence, and now the card runs the rest of the video the whole time you look at the card and you already forgot the audio from that one sentence and instead watch the whole video again. :monkaW:
I think you can set a timeframe? 🤔 I’m not sure
But iirc Anki doesn’t auto play the video, just embeds it for you to watch if you want to so I assume it’d be similar here and when you press continue it stops the video

Don't know either. A timeframe would def be better than just a timestamp.
Alternatively, they could record that video timeframe directly and provide the mp4 in the card like it's already done with a screenshot. Though I assume that might be a bit more difficult, not to mention the amount of data. 🤔
Considering the kanji course uses gifs and the Japanese fundamentals course uses videos and those don’t always run well I think I’d stick to just an embed 😅

No and not planned as of right now
