⛩🇯🇵LEARNING KANJI

hiiii, I have a question about learning kanji. Because there are two readings, Kunyomi and Onyomi and I'm confused. Which one should I learn first? What is your methods of learning this? What app to use? I'm a begginer. :neet: I will be grateful for your help🙏🏼

There's a kanji course you can use to accompany the academy course. However, I recommend to not focus on the separate readings of a kanji, but rather on the reading in context of vocab. The kanji course, and several other sources to learn kanji, break the kanji down to radicals or parts of it (however you wanna call it). These radicals get a "name" to help forming mnemonics. So I recommend you try some sources (the course from Migaku, several others on the internet or books like Remember The Kanji by Heisig) and stick with one method that works best for you resp you like the most, because of the radical naming. (For example: I use WaniKani and therefore can't use the Migaku course since I otherwise will mess up the naming of the radicals of both sources.)

Honestly imo memorizing the readings is pointless, just memorize the meaning is all you need. Which like @KUROKAT | 🇯🇵4,6k | 🇩🇪🇬🇧∞ said you can do that with migakus kanji course or look up RTK

What the others said. Because there is often more than just one on or kun reading for a kanji, and just memorizing all of them without context is a huge undertaking with little benefit
