Rented the Ringu Movie to study on youtube, now migaku wont give me any subtitles...
I just rented the ringu movie the first and second part to study japanese, and now migaku won´t give me any subtitles... it won´t even let me generate them. I am on my PC and am using the Chrome extension. Please can someone help me I dont want to have wasted money...

It works with public and unlisted videos on YouTube. Instead of the term movies it should be changed to videos, movies is a bit misleading since whisper only works on YouTube videos rn @HulK (ping reply me)｜🇭🇰 (8k)

@Minoqi 🇰🇷 🇯🇵 🇨🇳 Thats really annoying because the movie is obviously not free on youtube? so how did they think that would work?
They don’t, it’s a poor choice of words. It works on regular videos but not rented YouTube videos or private videos

But it even doesn’t work with normal videos either rn… Like the normal subtitles. Im really sad because i thought i could so something fun and immersive.
But i wanted to ask if such basically game breaking bugs(like not being able to use the ios app properly with youtube or the normal subtitles on chrome extension) happen more often? im pretty new but if this is normal i dont think i wanna pay for that:/ if i cant actually use what i paid for you know?

From my understanding, YouTube changed something in their backend that has broken YouTube functionality for lots of people. They’re currently working on a fix, and supposedly an update for iOS I think was just released that’s suppose to fix the crashing? @The Coding Ape

i mean let’s be real… people read movies they’re thinking rented movies not uploading their own movies. If you want to keep movies I think it should be clarified that it’s only for public or unlisted movies and not rented or private videos

That’s the YouTube issue I mentioned, idk when they’ll find a fix for it but I hope soon, it’s been a few days so I’m guessing it’s a pain to fix
