Recording failed
I'm getting a"recording failed" message all the time on mobile, standard and ea.
Can I do something on my own to fix that?

It's with different videos too.
Should I reinstall?
Uninstalled both apps and reinstalled only EA. It still doesn't work. 😞

I assume this has to do with the YouTube bug which they’re working on

@Reflektor can you link a video that fails for you? Does every video fail? Are you using a VPN of any kind? What phone device do you have?

It is for every video.
No VPN.
My device is the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G.
It worked last week.

Hi, I’m really sorry to hear you’re still having trouble with word mining. I just tested it using the latest EA build, and it worked on my end.
That said, I believe there’s a known edge case where card creation might take longer or even fail unexpectedly — especially if you try to create a card immediately after the video starts.
I’ll be investigating and fixing this with high priority, but in the meantime, here are two workarounds you can try:
1. Wait about 10 seconds after the video starts before creating a new card.
2. If you get the "Recording failed, create anyway?" message, go ahead and create the card without audio/screenshot — on the second attempt, it should work properly.

After some more testing, it did work for some videos. At the same time, the wrong audio from a video I watched just before was recorded.
I regard this as resolved now.
Even if there are hiccups and it doesn't work for all videos, I can now keep on grinding.
