How to Make Anki words into 'known' words
Sorry if this is a confusing way to word it but basically i know 1k+ words from studying on anki with a premade deck. is there a way to have migaku see these studied cards as known words?
Because i purchased migaku recently it basically says ik 0% of every video i watch

Anki doesn’t have a good easy way to integrate with your known words but you have 2 choices.
1) easiest one, install the legacy chrome extension and there should be a button in there to export your known words from Anki (it’ll basically look at every card you have with 21+ day interval, look at the field or fields you chose and import them). You might have to install the Brave browser as chrome doesn’t let you install the legacy extension anymore.
2) do this by hand so check every card you have with 21+ days, make a list and import it on the new extension, there’s a place to do so
I would go with the first one. Kinda sucks they don’t have a good feature like this in the new extension but I guess their main focus is Migaku memory compatibility, not Anki

Thanks i really appreciate the help. if i switch to legacy to do that can i switch back? or will it only see that i know those words on the old version?
it's kinda strange that they had that feature before and dont anymore, you'd think it'd be a useful feature to keep around

You don’t need to switch to legacy, both extensions can co exist and a lot of people do that because there’s still some features the old one has that the new doesn’t
From my understanding the old extension had to be abandoned for a few reasons but mainly because chrome was striking against some stuff that the old extension made use of
One of the reasons the new one has such “slow” updates is because they are trying to get the new extension to the point where the old one was feature wise
I personally use the new one for almost everything and the old one for the video player, reader and the known word list and Anki known word updates.

Ohhh i thought you had to do one or the other. Also that makes sense, chrome can be kinda a pain. Thanks alot for the help :>

No worries! They can’t coexist only in terms of parsing, so i usually have the old one off and only turn the extension on when using it but i still have both on chrome
Since you probably won’t be able to you can just have one on brave and the other on your regular browser, unless your regular browser is brave 😂
