Anki Parsing Dictionary Download Issue
Dont know if this is the right place to ask, new user, trying to set up Anki Migaku Kanji parsing dictionary and it keeps getting stuck at about 33%, tried searching the discord and cant see a fix or even if this is common.
I can't X out of the loading bar, when I close it by task manager and reopen it gets a little bit higher before stopping each time...
Just started a monthly subscription and will be charged again in 10 days(30th) instead of one month.
And on top of that the reflink for one free month didn't work till I clicked on it again after subscribing which prolonged it to what was supposed to be the original renew date(may instead of june).
To recap, I got charged 10€ immediately (20th of april) and was supposed to be charged again 10 days later (30th of april) till I clicked on the reflink again which prolonged it till the 21st of May instead of it charging me on the 20th/21st of June....
Upgraded Anki to 25.02.1, Migaku addon to latest, but Chinese deck having issues despite downgrading
On the back of chinese card (type is Simplified), it seems like the parsing (?) is broken.
I tried to downgrade my Anki back to Anki 24.06.3, removed Migaku extension and added it back, and it shows a warning pop up that Migaku addon now works for version 25 and may not work correctly for my downgraded Anki version 24. Even though I've downgraded my Anki version and reinstalled Migaku add on, my Migaku Chinese deck on back card is still having issue.
Note that I am using Simplified card type even though this text is in traditional Chinese, but even on my actual Simplified Chinese card (with Simplified card type, pic 2), the issue still exists....
Kanji God Addon: Wrong reading of 旭日
The word reading of 旭日 in the Kanji God Addon is あさひ. I believe it should be きょくじつ. 旭 by itself can be read あさひ, but I have never seen 旭日 being read as あさひ (in the same way 朝日 is).
I did a ChatGPT search just to make sure:
Some dictionaries or tools might simplify or conflate the readings because 旭 alone can be read as あさひ, and because in names (like Asahi Shimbun / 朝日新聞), that reading is familiar and frequent. But 旭日 should almost always be read as きょくじつ, especially outside of poetic or rare contexts....
Anki add-on installation stuck
On restarting Anki for the first time after downloading the Migaku add-on, this download starts, but always seems to get stuck around 19-22MB.
I have tried:
- Reinstalling Anki
- Waiting 1 hour...
