Many nouns in Japanese can be transformed into verbs by attaching the verb γγ to do to them. The usage of the particle γ in between is optional.

In dictionaries that translate Japanese to English, these nouns are labeled as suru verbs. In dictionaries that translate Japanese to Japanese, the header of the dictionary definition will include the label γΉγ« to indicate that the noun can be transformed into a verb using γγ to do.
Special Note
In the cards for this lesson, to contrast the usage of each nounβonce as a pure noun and once as a suru-verbβeach noun will first appear in its noun form, and then in a second sentence be used as a suru-verb.
