明日、友達に電話する。
I’ll call my friend tomorrow.
週末も仕事することが多い。

In dictionaries that translate Japanese to English, these nouns are labeled as suru verbs. In dictionaries that translate Japanese to Japanese, the header of the dictionary definition will include the label スル to indicate that the noun can be transformed into a verb using する to do.
Special Note
In the cards for this lesson, to contrast the usage of each noun—once as a pure noun and once as a suru-verb—each noun will first appear in its noun form, and then in a second sentence be used as a suru-verb.
