ใ-Adjectives, but negative
ใ-Adjectives, but negative
Negative descriptor
The negative form of ใ-adjectives can be used to express that something does not have a certain quality.
To form the negative of an ใ-adjectives, simply remove the ใ and add ใใชใ. That's it!
้ใใโใ้ใใชใ
Fast โ not fast
There is one exception to this rule: the ใ-adjective ใใ good. In its negative form, it does not conjugate to ใใใชใ, but to ใใใชใ. This is because the origin of the word was ใใ good, which changed over time to also be read as ใใ. All conjugations are still based on the original form.
Special Note
่ฏใ can therefore be read as ใใ or ใใ.
ใ-adjectives can appear at the end of a sentence, often in the pattern AใฏB, where A is the noun being described and B is the ใ-adjective.
ใใฎใๅบใง่ฒทใฃใใฑใผใญใฏ็ใใชใใ
The cake I bought in that store isn't sweet.
Just like their dictionary form, negative ใ-adjectives can also be placed in front of the nouns they describe.
็พๅณใใใชใๆฉใ้ฃฏใฏ้ฃในใชใใงใใ
I don't eat a dinner that isn't delicious.
Special Note
The ใ-adjectives stem refers to the part of the ใ-adjectives that remains after removing the ใ. For example, the stem of ใใคใใใ is ใใคใใ.
