「か」(1) Ask questions
Question
The particle か can be added to turn a statement into a question. Everything else, including the word order, remains unchanged.
店で弁当を買う。
(I will) buy box lunch at the store.
店で弁当を買うか?
Will you buy box lunch at the store?
明日一緒にピザ食べるか?
Will you eat pizza with me tomorrow?
あの高い車を買うか?
Will you buy that expensive car?
か can be attached to nouns, i- and na-adjectives, as well as verbs.
Special Note
In Japanese, questions can be asked without か, but more on that later.
