- Click on words in subtitles or webpage text to see what they mean
- Definitions from real dictionaries, whether open-source or your own personal files
- AI-powered translations, sentence breakdowns, explanations of what a word means in context
- Hear recordings from native speakers and see pictures of searched words
Flashcard App
- With one click, create media-rich flashcards that include sentences, high-quality TTS audio, images, and definitions—if you’re watching a video, we also include screenshots of your show and an audio snippet
- Spaced repetition prompts you to review flashcards at increasing intervals of time, ensuring you remember the words you make flashcards out of
Video Features
- Click words in subtitles to see what they mean (as described in Powerful Dictionary above)
- Multiple options for syncing video and subtitles—always display subtitles, only show subtitles if dialogue contains an unknown word, hide subtitles but pause after each line of dialogue and show subtitles, etc
- Create flashcards (as described in Flashcard App above) with one click
- Watch YouTube videos on mobile, videos from a variety of steaming sites on desktop (YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, etc), or your own local video files
Clipboard
- Import any text of interest into Migaku’s clipboard
- Create high-quality flashcards with one click (as described in Flashcard App)
Text Recognition/OCR
- Use your phone to extract text from images and make that text interactive
- Allows you to use Migaku with physical books, e-readers, and even other apps—or to translate things like menus and signs
