Using other adverbs to describe verbs
Describe verbs
Adverbs are words you use to describe verbs or adjectives. In the English sentence He runs quickly, quickly is the adverb, as it describes how he runs.
Besides い- and な-adjectives, there are other adverbs that can be used to describe verbs or adjectives.
Below we will provide you a list of examples, but there's no need to try to memorize them immediately. Over time and through exposure to the language, you'll start to ingrain them. Unlike with な-adjectives, some of these adverbs use the particle に, but not all of them.
一生懸命
very hard
ゆっくり
slowly
のんびり
leisurely
だんだん
gradually
徐々に
gradually
次々に
