Adverbs are words you use to describe verbs or adjectives. In the English sentence He runs quickly, quickly is the adverb, as it describes how he runs.

Besides い- and な-adjectives, there are other adverbs that can be used to describe verbs or adjectives.

Below we will provide you a list of examples, but there's no need to try to memorize them immediately. Over time and through exposure to the language, you'll start to ingrain them. Unlike with な-adjectives, some of these adverbs use the particle , but not all of them.
