FRONT OF CARD Show pitch coloring missing info
In the customize card study settings for japanese, pitch colouring has a handy explanation for the setting for the back of the card, but not for the front, which comes first
The explanation should be there for both, or at least moved to the first of the two...
Extension struggles with gmail
Initially I was just going to report the first two, attachment names listing the entire thing, instead of default ... when it gets too long, but in the process of compiling these examples I found a few more issues
These appear as soon as migaku is turned on for the website, but do not go away when it is turned of, instead I have to reload the page
A lot of weird formatting hijinx happen when individual emails are opened, line breaks are added in various places like names and time, when I fully open individual emails in a chain, the formatting for my own name, and that of the sender of the first email in the chain, becomes smaller and unbolded (but gets line breaks back), but it doesn't display their adress after their display name anymore
" at the begining of a line seems to add a line break after it, the display for reply and forward breaks entirely, the right side margin no longer lines up with the inside content
and perhaps strangest to me, all spaces are removed from specifically the "to:" column (when going to the Sent page), but not the equivalent "from:" column elsewhere...
Youtube legacy extension not showing subtitle browser or parsing
The legacy extension isn't parsing subtitles or showing anything in the browser. Downloading the subs and uploading a custom .srt doesn't work either...
Database upgrade stuck on my very first day :(
I subscribed today to Migaku, and now my browser is stuck on "Upgrading database" at 6% when accessing study.migaku.com since 20 minutes.
I'm not sure this is normal as I subscribed and start using it only today. Here is what I did in order just in case it's useful:
- I installed the chrome extension
- I downloaded the Android EA app...
iOS app not using downloaded media on unstable connection
Hey everyone,
I'm using Migaku on my daily train commute that passes through an area with very spotty internet coverage. In this environment the app has trouble displaying media, even though my library reports as "Offline ready".
Shouldn't the app just always use the downloaded media, even when I have a connection? Even if it's just to conserve mobile data allowance....
In Japanese, some words cannot be added to the learned ones. Migaku does not see them.
Particularly rare words or words that consist of several other words.
Migaku says "No subtitles are available for this video", despite subtitles being available
I'm trying to watch the following video with Migaku, but it somehow doesn't recognize the subtitles.

I tried to manually select the subtitle track, but under "Target language subtitles" it just says "No subtitles available". Same behavior in incognito mode. Is there any way to fix this?...
iOS notification window
Just a small heads-up — it seems the issue with the notification system still hasn’t been resolved. As you can see from the screenshots I’m attaching, I got a notification saying I have “0 new cards and 0 reviews waiting,” but when I opened the app, there were actually much more cards in total.
It’s not a critical bug, but it could cause confusion or give users the impression that there’s nothing to study when there actually is. Probably just a small sync/display logic hiccup — just wanted to bring it to your attention in case it slipped through the cracks.
Thanks for all your hard work — the app is a game changer!...
Word Audio: Migaku Dictionary not working
Problem started a few days ago. Only TTS Audio is shown, no audio from the Migaku dictionary.
Tried disabling and enabling the Word Audio under Settings. Reinstalled Addons.
Using Win 11 with Chrome. Tried EA and normal addon. Disabled all other Extensions....

I'm watching YouTube on Windows 11 with Chrome using the alpha extension. One thing about Chinese is that it's funky because there's two writing systems: simplified and traditional. I'm officially studying the simplified version of the language. I think this YouTuber is from Taiwan and so the title etc is using traditional characters. But my settings are for simplified Chinese. Text Overflows
In the flashcard UI, the Japanese text (“どういたしまして”) extends beyond the right border of the card container.
"The available Japanese subtitles don't match the audio"
I just switched over from legacy migaku to the modern one, and every single video I open has this issue, even the comprehensible Japanese video that is recommended to the user in the migaku extension.
